For almost four decades, this family-owned and operated company has been crafting unique and custom-designed automation solutions for clients across the nation. With their solid Midwestern values, out-of-the-box thinking, and a true knack for having fun, they strive to set the standard for producing top-quality solutions as well as top-of-the-line customer service.

From conveyor belts to robotics and custom-designed products, they take pride in providing only the best in service to their clients. Join us as we travel to Chester, Illinois, and meet Flex-line Automation.

Cathy Rinne: “Flex-line Automation is a third-generation family business. We specialize in integration. We bring together different components from various vendor partners and create custom automated solutions for manufacturers of all sizes.”

Rhett Rinne: “We work in various industries, anything from automotive to food to pharmaceutical to personal care products, and we just try to bring one solution from one industry may work for another industry.”

Lauren (Rinne) Van De Mark: “At Flex-line Automation, we’re an integrator, so there’s not a lot that we don’t do, but we started out with conveyor systems, primarily tabletop conveyors, but over the years, we’ve added in different types of conveyors, like belt conveyors, roller conveyors, drag chain conveyors, slack conveyors, and heavy-duty conveyors. As our customers have needed other solutions, we’e also added in a variety of feeding equipment like centrifugal feeders, pre feeders, scallop feeders, and robotic feeders.”

“We’ve also added a full line of industrial robotic solutions as well as collaborative robotic solutions. We provide pallet elevators and lowerators, as well as AGVs (Autonomous Guided Vehicles) and AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots) to interface with those pallet stackers and destackers, and just about everything else, and we can provide that as spare parts or complete integrated systems.”

Cathy Rinne: “Well, at Flex-line, we really like all of our customers to feel like they’re their only customer. We like to give personalized and customized service regardless of the industry they’re in.”

Rhett Rinne: “We try to go above and beyond anything the customer expects. There was a time when a company had a line down, and their supplier wasn’t responding to them, and so what we did was chartered a plane, flew a gearbox out a couple of states away just to get them running, and they weren’t even our customer at the time. So, we just try to go above and beyond any expectations.”

Jeremy Smith: “Flex-line is one of the best automation third-party resources that we use at IMEC. They do a fantastic job of getting small to medium-sized manufacturers up to speed with automation and look forward to recommending them in the future.”

Cathy Rinne: “We are one of the world’s greatest because we bring rural values like tenacity, ingenuity, and our work ethic to work with us everyday.”
