Conveyor Guide Rails and Structural Components
Rail, brackets, sprockets, bends and beam hardware, including guide rail pre-bent to your radius before it ships.
Flex-Line Automation supplies conveyor guide rails, brackets, sprockets, bends, idlers and beam hardware, including adjustable guide rail and rail pre-bent to a specified radius before shipment rather than bent on site.
Structural components are the parts nobody thinks about until the line changes. They go in at commissioning and stay there, until a changeover needs a different product path, a fork truck finds a rail, or a section gets repurposed for something the line was never designed to do.
When that happens, the part is usually needed quickly and the drawing is rarely to hand. Flex-Line has supplied and modified these components since 1984.

What Is Pre-Bent Guide Rail?
Pre-bent guide rail is rail formed to a specified radius before it ships, rather than bent on site during installation.
Rail is usually bent in the field, during the shutdown, by whoever is available. It is one of those jobs that looks simple and quietly costs an hour a bend when the radius has to be right. Flex-Line forms the rail here, so installation becomes a bolt-up rather than a fabrication. On a changeover with a fixed window, that is often the difference between finishing on schedule and not.
To quote pre-bent rail we need the radius, the arc, or the layout dimensions. A sketch with measurements is enough to start.
When Adjustable Rail Is Worth It
If a line runs more than one product size, adjustable guide rail is usually worth the difference in cost. It turns a changeover from a rail swap into a hand adjustment, and it removes the temptation to run a slightly wrong setting because the right one takes too long to reach. That second effect is the one plants underestimate.
Adjustable rail can be quoted as a retrofit to an existing line, not only on new builds.
How to Identify Structural Parts Without a Drawing
Beam, rail, brackets and sprockets are specific to the conveyor series. They form one system with the chain and wear strip, and mixing generations causes problems. If the series is known, we can match the part directly.
If it is not, send a photograph of the component and what it mounts to. This is the category where a photo helps most, because structural parts get modified, drilled, cut down and repurposed over a system's life, so what is on a given line often matches no catalog page exactly. We work these out regularly.
Rebuilding or Reconfiguring a Line
If the goal is changing a product path rather than replacing a broken part, it is worth a conversation before ordering. Reconfiguring a section often has a cleaner solution than the one that is obvious from the parts list, and layout and design is what Flex-Line does. See our conveyor design and integration services, or tell us what the line needs to do differently.
Looking for wear strip or the consumable components that run on the rail? Those are on the wear strips and guide kits page.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is pre-bent guide rail?
Pre-bent guide rail is conveyor guide rail formed to a specified radius before it ships, rather than bent on site during installation. It turns a field fabrication job into a bolt-up, and is typically used where a changeover window is tight.
Can Flex-Line pre-bend guide rail to a specific radius?
Yes. Provide the radius, the arc, or the layout dimensions and Flex-Line will form the rail before shipment. A sketch with measurements is enough to start a quote.
What is adjustable guide rail used for?
Lines that change over between product sizes. Adjustable rail turns a changeover from a rail swap into a hand adjustment, and it can be retrofitted to an existing line rather than specified only on new builds.
How do I identify which guide rail or beam a conveyor uses?
Beam, rail, brackets and sprockets are specific to the conveyor series. Provide the series if known, or send a photograph of the component and what it mounts to. Structural parts are often modified over a system's life, so a photograph is usually faster than a part number.
Does Flex-Line supply conveyor sprockets and bends separately?
Yes. Drive and idler wheels, sprockets, bends, connecting components and tensioning parts are supplied individually.
Is guide rail a consumable part?
No. Guide rail is a structural component, typically installed at commissioning and replaced only at a changeover or after impact damage. The consumable wear components that run against it are covered under wear strips and guide kits.
Can Flex-Line help reconfigure an existing conveyor line?
Yes. Flex-Line handles layout and design as well as parts supply. If the goal is changing a product path rather than replacing a broken component, it is worth reviewing the layout before ordering parts.
Order Guide Rail or Structural Parts
Send the conveyor series and what you need, or a photo of the component and what it mounts to. Pre-bending? Send the radius or the layout dimensions.
- Conveyor series and component, if known. A photo works if not.
- Radius, arc or layout dimensions for pre-bent rail
