Conveyor Parts Availability and Lead Times

What we keep on the shelf, how fast it ships, and what to stock so your next failure is not a shutdown.

Flex-Line Automation stocks its own inventory of conveyor components for quick-turn spare parts shipping, and writes stocking recommendations that identify which parts a specific line should keep on hand.

The reason to buy parts from someone who stocks them is simple: the part is either on a shelf or it is not, and everything else about the transaction is secondary when a line is down.

Flex-Line keeps its own inventory of conveyor components. We are not drop-shipping from a manufacturer's warehouse, and we are not only ordering your part in when you call. Quick-turn spare parts have been part of this business since 1984.

What We Keep in Stock

Our inventory concentrates on the components that wear, fail or get damaged most often — the parts a plant actually needs quickly.

  • Chain — plastic, friction, cleated, flapper, steel and other chain types in rolls and replacement link kits, across common series and widths
  • Wear strip and guide rail — standard profiles and types
  • Drive and idler components — sprockets, wheels, drive wear parts and idler replacement parts
  • Bends, beams and extrusions, brackets and other connecting components
  • Fasteners and mounting hardware — the small parts that hold up a repair when they are missing

Larger assemblies and non-standard items are ordered in. Call and we will tell you current availability for your part before you plan the repair around it.

How Fast Parts Ship

UPS orders received before 12:00 p.m. Central ship the same day where the item is in stock.

Because plant emergencies do not observe business hours, we have historically gone further than that: meeting a courier on a Saturday, driving parts to the carrier's hub after hours, and on at least one occasion chartering a plane to get a gearbox to Tulsa. That is not standard service and it is not free, but it exists, and it is worth asking about when the situation warrants it. In practice we handle a couple of emergency courier shipments a year.

Items that are not in stock typically run anywhere from three days to twelve weeks or more, depending on the component. We will tell you which category your part falls into before you commit to a repair window.

What You Should Keep on Your Own Shelf

The cheapest downtime is the kind that does not happen. For most lines, that means holding a small number of the right parts rather than a large number of the wrong ones.

Flex-Line writes stocking recommendations for individual systems. A recommendation identifies which parts are worth holding for your line, lays out the alternatives with pricing comparisons, and explains the reasoning behind each choice — not just what to buy, but why one option beats another in your environment. Whether to specify plastic screws or rivets on a conveyor sounds trivial until you are the one taking the assembly apart quarterly.

There is no charge to ask. Tell us what your line is and what it runs.

Parts for Systems We Did Not Build

You do not need to have bought the conveyor from us. A substantial share of the parts we ship go to plants running systems installed by someone else, sometimes decades ago. Send a photo, tell us the series if you know it, and we will work out what you need. See conveyor parts and components for the full component range.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Flex-Line keep conveyor parts in stock?

Yes. Flex-Line maintains its own inventory of conveyor components — chain, wear strip, guide rail, drive components, idler units, wear parts, structural components and hardware — rather than ordering each part in on demand.

Can Flex-Line ship conveyor parts the same day?

Yes, for stocked items on UPS orders received before 12:00 p.m. Central. Confirm current availability and expedited options by calling (800) 916-0031 or (618) 826-5086.

What are the lead times for conveyor parts that are not in stock?

Non-stocked parts typically range from three days to twelve weeks or more depending on the component. Flex-Line will confirm which applies to your part before you plan a repair around it.

What conveyor spare parts should I keep on hand?

For most lines, wear strip and key drive and idler components. The right list depends on the system, its criticality, and how quickly replacements can reach you. Flex-Line writes stocking recommendations for individual systems at no charge.

Can I get parts for a conveyor Flex-Line did not install?

Yes. Flex-Line regularly supplies parts for systems built and installed by others. Provide the conveyor series if known, or send a photograph of the part.

What if I need a part outside normal business hours?

Call (800) 916-0031 or (618) 826-5086 and explain the situation. Flex-Line has arranged after-hours and expedited deliveries for customers facing production stoppages.
