REQUEST A QUOTE
If you haven’t picked up on it by now, we really love getting creative. You’ve got a challenge? Then let’s get started with a solution.
Contact Flex-Line Automation
Parts, engineered parts, or systems — here is what to send and what happens next.
Flex-Line Automation can be reached at (800) 916-0031 or (618) 826-5086, or through our online quote request form. For parts, provide a part number or a photograph. For systems, provide product details, a brief description of the application, and a layout.
There are two ways people usually arrive here: something is worn out and needs replacing, or something needs to be designed and built. They need different information from you, so we have split them.
I Need a Part
The fastest route is the phone: (800) 916-0031 or (618) 826-5086. Bring whatever you have.
- A part number, if you have one — bearing in mind that the number stamped on a component is often the manufacturer's rather than the one you order by
- A photograph, if you do not. This works more often than people expect.
- The conveyor series, or the dimensions of the conveyor
- Quantity, and whether the line is currently down
Our team has worked with these components since 1984 and can usually identify a part on the first call. See parts availability and lead times for what is on the shelf.
I Need a System, a Retrofit, or a Layout
System quotes need more detail, and providing it up front is what turns a two-week quoting cycle into a two-day one. To quote well, we need to know:
- Product details — material, weight, dimensions and any special considerations
- Desired production flow rate
- Accumulation expectations — will parts be accumulating on the line?
- Placement and pick-off methods — how product gets on and off the conveyor
- Any processes the product passes through — washdown, inspection, filling, coding, changing orientation
- The environment — is this system running through a cooler, or next to a grinding application kicking up dust? What is going on around the conveyor is often overlooked and is crucial to getting a system that lasts.
- A layout — or, if you do not have one, the dimensions from point A to point B. We will create a layout for you. A plant layout also helps, so we can design around things like columns that otherwise force a reconfiguration at the last minute.
For larger projects a sales engineer can come to your site and measure. In most cases, though, email, a phone call or a video call gets us to a quote.
What Happens After You Send It
- We confirm we have what we need. If something is missing, we will ask rather than guess.
- We review the application. For systems this may mean a layout drawing. For parts it means confirming the component and availability.
- You get a quote with the options laid out, including alternatives where a different approach would serve you better.
- If you proceed, the same team handles build, installation and the support afterward.
Quote turnaround varies with complexity, but you will hear from us and start a conversation within one business day at the latest.
