Meet our box erector robot, the boxEZ! The base system uses a Universal Robot (UR) collaborative robot in order to erect multiple box sizes in a small footprint. Especially when compared to a traditional case erector!
A boxEZ is easy to install, quick to configure, and an easy way to automate a repetitive task. Our box erector robot pulls a box from a box magazine (multiple magazines are available) using a custom vacuum end effector. The same EOAT opens the box and runs it through a folding stand and taping table. Â
Then the robot discharges the box in a method determined by customer needs. For example, it can run continuously down a conveyor, erect boxes on call, replace boxes in a queue for a pack out station, or drop the boxes in an ungainly heap on the floor if that is what you want. What can I say? Flex-Line is nothing but flexible!
We customize each system based on your box sizes. Our only limit is the reach and rate required by your application. However, keep in mind that we are not limited by the base system. Since we build everything in house we are happy to create a complete, custom solution just for you.Â
I.E., many customers who have lower rates enjoy the ability to have the same robot palletize or case pack when it is not being used as a box erector robot. We can design the EOAT to be capable of handling multiple actions!
Because you chose a collaborative box erector robot you get these great benefits:
- Compact – no guarding is required since it is a collaborative robot
- Automatically erects boxes – can be tied in with WHM software, buttons, or sensors
- Increase efficiency
- Low operating cost – 120V, 10-15cfm @ 90 psi air supply
- Fast ROI – prices start as low as $75,000
- Quick install
- Easy to redeploy, or modify
