MiR Family of products

If you stopped by our booth at Pack Expo in Las Vegas you may have noticed that we have A LOT of new things going on.

We aren’t just your friendly neighborhood conveyor company anymore, folks. When we say that we can move your product, we mean we can move it!  Up, down, over, around – with conveyors and robots there isn’t much we don’t bring to the table.

So yeah, you know us for tabletop and belt conveyors but don’t forget to think of us for robots too. In addition to being Comau Robotics partners and UR Certified Integrators, we are happy to announce that we are officially MiR CSI’s (Certified System Integrators, not the TV show kind of CSI, though it would be fun to have the jackets…)

Since that is the case I wanted to take a minute and give ya’ll the run down on the MiR product line. As always, you can go to the MiR products page and download literature and some videos, and I would totally recommend that if you like what you see. You can also give us a ring and schedule a site visit or come check out our demos here in Chester. We will have our demo facility up and running very soon. We would love to see you and show off in person.

So, there are four basic MiR units:

MiR100 – payload is 100kg. They have a max speed of 1.5m/s heading forward, or .3m/s running backwards, and have a battery life of 10 hours or 20km. They weigh in at 62.5kg. They can communicate with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Ethernet. With the addition of the MiRHook, a lot of customers are interested in the for towing or carting applications.

MiR200 – payload is 200kg. They have a max speed of 1.1m/s heading forward, or .3m/s running backwards, and have a battery life of 10 hours or 15km. They weigh in at 62.5kg also. They can communicate with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, and PLC. Like the MiR100, the MiR200 is helpful for towing and carting. The 200 is also clean room certified so there has been a lot of interest in pharmaceutical applications too.

MiR500 – payload is 500kg (noticing a trend?). They have a max speed of 2m/s heading forward, and have a battery life of 8 hours. They weigh in at 250kg. They can communicate with Wi-Fi and Ethernet. These robots are great for pallet handling and transporting heavy loads.

MiR1000 – you’ll never guess what, the payload is 1,000kg! They have a max speed of 1.2m/s heading forward, and have a battery life of 8 hours. They weigh in at 250kg. They can communicate with Wi-Fi and Ethernet. These robots are great for heavier pallet handling applications. They are very flexible and can be easily redeployed for different  tasks with a change in top modules.

Mobile robots are a cost effective way to quickly automate internal transportation and logistics of a range from smaller parts to heavier loads. The wide variety of easy to change top attachments like bins, racks, lifts, conveyors, and even collaborative robot arms mean that autonomous robots can free up employees to focus on more important tasks that require a human touch.

When MiR says that the Future is in Motion they mean it, and we are THRILLED to be certified systems integrators for the latest and greatest way to get your products moving.
